Looking for Tips About Microsoft Access Database - Read this Post
One of the important Access database objects is a form. The form is used to enter data to the database. You can enter data right into table, where it is stored, but with a form you get a better interface for such purposes. Now, in the new 2007 edition of Microsoft Access, the form creation has become even easier. Usually, when you create Access form, you would use wizard or create it manually in the design view. But in the new Access edition, there are more options added to the above two. And these options are worth considering.
You should go to the navigation pane first and choose the table you will be creating a form for. Go to the Ribbon menu and select Create tab. Then, move to the Ribbon form section and click on the Form button. You will see that Access has created a simple form. After that, you can go to design view if you want to customize it further. There is also the option of the so called layout view, when you can change some form features and still see the data in the form while you do it. At the top left of the screen you can see a View button, which you can click if you want to switch the form views.
You can also create multiple items form. It shows many records using a datasheet format. Before creating this form, make sure you selected the required table. After selecting table, make sure you are on the Create tab and go to the Forms part again. Then click the button to create the multiple items form.
In MS Access 2007 you can also create split forms. The split form will demonstrate a datasheet record in the lower part of it and a single record in the upper part. If you select the datasheet record, you can enter its data to the single record. In order to create such a form, you should first make sure you click on the required table in the navigation pane. Then, on the Create tab, go to the forms section and select the split form button.
Microsoft Access 2007 forms are very powerful and have many functions. You will definitely see the advantage of using main forms, sub forms, multiple record forms and split forms. It will make your database work more effective. Besides the forms, there are also other useful objects in Access database such as tables, queries and reports. They also have a lot of useful functions and if you really want to make the most out of your MS Access database you should learn as much as possible about them and master these objects for your business benefits.
